How to use Twitter to enhance your brand’s reputation

Twitter has literally taken the world by surprise and has placed itself in the forefront of the media spectrum in the past 3 years.  Now in 2013, if you are a brand or business and you are not using Twitter you are definitely not utilizing the marvel of viral marketing at its finest.    Everyone is using Twitter these days from news anchors to radio stations to the corner store at the end of the street.  Why would a business want to use Twitter you say?  Isn’t it just for individuals to tweet about their daily musings?  Absolutely not.

Twitter is a viral platform for any individual or business / brand.  You can let your customers in on the new comings and goings of your business, new promotions, new products and answer customer service requests.  You can virally promote your business as people will follow and re-tweet your messages.  You can use the #HASHTAG to brand your posts with your business name.  You need to get people talking about your product or business now!

As with Facebook, Twitter relies on the amount of followers you have to display your reputation.  The amount of followers you have is displayed to anyone who looks at your profile.  If you are trying to compete in business, you need to be able to live up to your competitor’s follower numbers and tweets.  You want to show that you are better than your competition and that people like YOUR BUSINESS more than “that other one”.
